LEGO® bricks were some of my favorite toys as a kid.  Thankfully, my parents saved all of my sets so that I was able to give them to my own children a few years ago.  As my children began enjoying the wonders of LEGO® bricks, I started enjoying them again myself.

 

Soon enough, I purchased my first LEGO® Architecture set: The White House.  I was amazed at how a building replica made from LEGO® brick elements could capture the essence of the structure without it being an exact copy.

 

One afternoon in the fall of 2015, my son Noah and I decided to try to build one of the local iconic buildings from James Madison University (JMU).  We attempted to build the original campus building: Wilson Hall.  Although we had the style of the LEGO® Architecture sets in mind; you can see (photo to the right) that our initial model was quite basic!  But this eventually led us to want to improve upon that first attempt.  Over a dozen iterations and three years later, we launched Rocktown Bricks, LLC so that we can share the sets we've created with JMU students, parents, alumni, and fans.
