Being that we must source most of our LEGO elements from Europe and Asia, it can get pretty expensive to secure them and ship them to the USA. Also, the design process took much trial & error...and so did the creation of the custom digital instructions.
Price per piece is something we take into consideration, but one "piece" can range from a tiny 1x1 plate to a very large 6x14 plate! In addtion, colors impact piece price. The bright purple and yellow colors used for the Duke Dog Face Plate are more pricey than neutral colors like black, gray, or white.
In the end, we try to keep the prices as reasonable as possible - enough to cover parts and labor. Remember, you are getting a very unique item - something you will not find anywhere else!
